Mountain Lullaby
By: Karen Brinkman, June 9, 2009
Hummingbird Falls, Alberta

Sparkling light on river moves

As fluffy clouds roll by.

Chirping squirrels tease friendly dogs

And mountains frame our sky.

Listen can I hear it,

The music in the sky.

Listen I can hear it,

A mountain lullaby.

Whispering wind through pople leaves

As flowers dance with honey bees.

A crackling fire sings a tune

As on the wood it feeds.

Listen can you hear it?

The music in the sky.

Listen you can hear it

A mountain lullaby.

Rising sun with colors bright

Spreads her warming ray

A choir singing, birds a’ whistling

As blessings gift our day.

Listen can you hear it

The music in your eye.

Listen you can hear it

The mountain lullaby.

Rolling stones slip down the bank

Splashing in the stream.

Rippling water passes by

The singing fills our dream.

Listen can we hear it?

The music in our eye

Listen we can hear it

The mountain lullaby.

Rolling thunder lightening flashes

Over the mountain tumbles.

Creator whispers in the heart

Mind, body, spirit humbles.

Listen can we hear it?

This mountain lullaby.

Listen we can hear it

The music deep inside.
